About me... the crazy head that started all this
If you've stopped by my shop or seen my designs, you've probably noticed a detail that's always present: the gas mask. You may have wondered why I wear it or what it means to me. Today I want to tell you.
I've always loved the aesthetic of gas masks. I've been drawn to them ever since I was little, but I never imagined they would become part of my identity and my brand. I've always seen them as a bubble of air in the midst of chaos. A symbol of resilience, of being able to keep breathing even when everything seems to be falling apart. I also think the aesthetic is brutal.
A few days before the store opened, I posted the first post on Instagram announcing the opening. It featured a picture of a girl wearing a gas mask, saying, "Get ready for what's coming."
What I couldn't imagine was that what was coming, just a month later, was COVID. And me... With my newly opened little shop and the logo of a gas mask 👽😬
Obviously, I didn't want the mask to be associated with the pandemic. So at that point... I let go of all the crazy thoughts in my head and let them flow... whatever happens, happens.
and began to create fun characters with the mask, giving a different, more creative and personal touch.
Over time, the mask has become a symbol of my brand and what I want to convey: originality, freedom, and a distinct style. Here, in this space, I want to share more about my world, from the music I play in the store (which is another of my passions) to the ideas behind my designs and my day-to-day life with this crazy idea of running my own business.
If you've made it this far, welcome. I hope you love this space as much as I love creating it!
